Growing up, my love for the Ford Mustang began with my dad’s Shelby.  The moment I first heard the low growl of my dad’s Shelby echoing through our neighborhood, I was hooked. Imagining the roar as therapy for his spirit—and mine. That car didn’t just move—it spoke.

That car was more than just metal and rubber—it was a heartbeat, a presence. As a kid, I’d sit in the passenger seat wide-eyed, memorizing every shift, every roar, every moment of speed.

I still remember the deep rumble of the engine, the way it commanded attention wherever we went. That car wasn’t just loud—it spoke to something deep inside me. From that moment on, I knew the Mustang would always be part of my life.

My first car was a white Mustang LX. It may not have been a Shelby, but it was mine. That car gave me my first taste of Mustang ownership, and cemented a bond that only grew stronger. My Mustang taught me independence and planted the seed of lifelong devotion. I remember the look, the sound, the thrill of my first open‑road escape—it all felt like coming home.

Then in college came my second Mustang which was a grey Mustang 5.0 LX with Manual Transmission.  It was full of attitude and this is the one that changed everything.  Behind the wheel, I found peace, focus, and excitement all at once.  Weeknight stress dissolved under that engine’s melody; highway miles became meditation. I chased speed but found something deeper: clarity and balance.

Finally, came my most recent 50 year Anniversary Black Mustang 5.0 GT Convertible again with Manual Transmission.  This Mustang isn’t just a car it’s my ongoing therapy. Its V8 growl is my personal soundtrack, and each drive feels like my stress dissolves under that engine’s melody. I love everything about my Mustang—the speed that punches your soul, the sharp stance, and the intoxicating growl that turns the mundane into art.

My Mustang is not just a car, it’s part of a community of Mustang lovers with lifelong passion. I love being part of the Mustang community. Hanging out with fellow Mustang enthusiasts, trading stories, admiring builds—we get each other.

Through every chapter—from my dad’s Shelby to my grey 5.0—Mustangs haven’t just been cars; they’ve been companions, counselors, and catalysts in my life.

Hanging out with other Mustang lovers, sharing builds and burnout stories, comparing exhaust notes—it’s community therapy.  “The Mustang community is unlike any other…drivers will flash their lights, give a little wave… I love being part of the Mustang community”
